Happy Halloween from the writing cave!

I wanted to wish you the best of eerie days by reminding you that origins of Halloween come from the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. Read all about that here

Tonight is an extra special Halloween because it is a full moon, a rare ‘blue moon’! I’m going to camp out on my porch and watch it rise over Mount Beacon, just across the river.

If you are looking for spooky books, look no further.

This is my Halloween Column in the New York Times Book Review, in which I recommend novels that are perfect for this weekend.

I begin my nonfiction writing workshop on Monday, and I have had two people cancel at the last minute. If you are interested in being part of this workshop, please respond here and I can give you more information.

I will leave you with a picture of Georgianna Rose, who I met the other day during my walk in the cemetery. Perhaps tonight she will come back to pay us a visit.

Yours,
Danielle
