Happy first day of August from the writing cave!

If you follow me on social media, you might already know that this will be my last newsletter from the writing cave for a while, as I’m moving to San Miguel de Allende in Mexico.

I’m transporting the contents of the Writing Cave (about a million books) to the mountains of Central Mexico, where I will be hiding out writing a new book. It’s going to be such an adventure! I hope you’ll follow along on Instagram.

Speaking of San Miguel, there are still a few spots open for my writing workshop next spring. We will spend five days working on chapters and stories from longer works such as memoirs and novels, then celebrate at the end of the week with a cocktail reception. If you’re interested, please respond to this email!

I’m excited that my book The Ancestor will be out in Spanish this fall. How do you like the new title and cover?

Finally, I’ll leave you with this photo of some beautiful hydrangeas from my garden. I would love to hear what’s bringing you joy this summer, so please drop me a line and let me know.

I hope you all have a great weekend and the next time I write, it will be from San Miguel!

Yours,
Danielle
